APOLLO PARK

BIG ROCK CREEK
On the north side of San Gabriel Mountains. Turn off Highway 138
at Pearblossom to Valyermo and go south 5 miles.
Stocked from Angeles Forest boundary upstream about 2 miles.
BOUQUET CANYON
CREEK
Northeast of Saugus Road, parallels stream.
Stocked from below Bouquet Reservoir downstream
about 9 miles to Texas Canyon. Frequently stocked with small Trout.
CALIFORNIA
AQUEDUCT
In the aqueduct you can catch striped bass and catfish. It's best
to try different spots. Stripers are usually territorial and stay
within certain areas. Those who walk up and down the aqueduct trying
different spots have the best results. You should also fish when
the water is moving. Blood worms, night crawlers, mackerel and chicken
livers work best.
CASTAIC LAKE
AND LAGOON

14.5 miles northwest of San Fernando on Interstate Highway 5. Take
Hughes Road to Castaic Lake entrance. Trout, bass, catfish.
ELIZABETH LAKE
(Spring and Fall)--From Los Angeles take Interstate 5 north to Castaic,
turn right on Lake Hughes Road and follow it to Elizabeth Lake Road.
Turn right past Lake Hughes and Munz Lake about 3 miles to Elizabeth
Lake. Frequently stocked with trout. Big bluegill and crappie are
also caught in this lake.
JACKSON LAKE
In Big Pines Recreation Area west of Wrightwood on north side of
San Gabriel Mountains. The location is off Interstate 15, northwest
of Highway 138 to Highway 2. Frequently stocked with trout.
LAKE HUGHES
(Spring and Fall)--From Los Angeles, drive north on Interstate 5
to the Castaic Lake turnoff (Lake Hughes Road). Continue north approximately
20 miles to County Road N2 and turn right. The lake is located on
the right side of the road about one mile from Lake Hughes Road.
Mostly catfish and bass.
QUAIL LAKE
Part of the California Aqueduct - Take the 138 West towards Interstate
5. Just before you reach the 5, it will be on your right side. This
lake is known for striped bass and catfish. The stripers can get
pretty big in this lake.
